The LOR DC board is $99.95 + shipping (quick connect DC board), but the board includes memory which allows for stand-alone operation using a downloaded sequence. If you add the Basic level starter pack, you get everything required to program the sequence and download it - ie basic software licence (for 2 boards), USB 485 connection, cat 5 cable for $49.95. http://store.lightorama.com/spk800.html

Ah, even better.  I looked for the $99.95 one earlier but couldn't find it on their site.  The direct link is here.  As Geoff said, that board and a starter pack would be a great way to go.  :)

It may also be of interest that the LOR controllers can be run in a DMX universe if required later.
