TigerEth328 - E1.31 Protocol to RGB Pixel (SPI) Protocol BridgeAusChristmasLighting is pleased to announced a new Protocol Bridge with Ethernet input with E1.31 protocol and support 1360 individually controlled RGB Pixels. (4080ch)
E1.31 support and firmware is in association with, and provided by J1SYS (Ed) the guru and leader in E1.31.
The TigerEth328 will, like the TP3212, be a pixel controller but will not provide power to the pixel strings allowing for maximum flexibility for individuals to power their strings or strips.
Features:
- Eight Indivual, fully buffered SPI outputs to your pixels/strings.
- Eight DMX Universes processed from the E1.31 stream.
- Outputs can be configured in many ways with a maximum of 4096 Channels being shared across all Outputs.
- Multi - Pixel Protocol support. (some limits may apply depending on protocol)
- Fully Software configurable via Web Interface.
At this time hardware design is being refined for a full Alpha test run and is heading off for prototype construction soon. Firmware will be ready no doubt before the Alpha test boards have arrived and they can then start being tested.
I expect to be using two of these this year to give it a real life test running my megatree, even if i have to change over the controllers early December.
It is not expected that a full production run will be possible prior to the christmas dispay season at this time with all the other projects underway.
We expect to have this available in full quantities for all of 2011.
Pricing will be determined over the next few weeks as we bed in the final components and sourcing. At this stage i'm not even going to throw an estimate out there.
This is another exciting step in RGB lighting.
