Anybody know what happened to Tabor's website?   xmasinperth.com.au appears to be down, although if you try to directly access the folder, it gives you a permission error...

I'm looking for pinouts of the pixel strings specifically.

Do you know the protocol contents of this firmware ?
Is there a new one from December?

Thanks...

Yep,
This is effectively strange that this PB affects only some range of 2801s pixels.

On ribbon WS2801, there is no flickering
On pixels WS2801, with 8mm RGB LED, no flickering.
On Pixels based on modules using 3 x 5050 RGB, flickering (got different ones from Ray)
On Pixels modules self-made similar to Ray, flickering.

So, if there small differences on 2801 concept and available strings/ribbons, why are they all not affected using standard  decoders DMX to 2801?

And cry me i have several different decoders for this chip and the only one who is very sensitive to the dimming and flickering actually is the TP decoder.

I made some retro engineering to check the different pixels manufactured to understand each concept and values of components used, but it's quite similar; this is very easy to build pixels around it and the combinations are quite limited.

So this can explains that....

I can understand you not face any issue with yours...

What kind of WS2801 pixel are you using?

Henri

After connecting up some other 2801 pixels (2 different types) i couldnt get the tp3244 to work, i then connected up last years 2801 pixels and it worked so definety doesnt seem to work with all 2801 pixels
