New mystery display piece

He is coming along slowly. But that is how I planned it. Bit by bit, so I didn't get bored and bogged down on a single project..
I need to get a few more parts to carry on, but I have disassembled it again to undercoat what I have in the photo

But he is coming along. I have been keeping it a secret from my wife as she just loves nutcracker's so have been very careful to work on it while she is not around and then have a sheet to throw over it if I see her coming.
Well she went in for a knee operation on Tuesday and hasn't moved much since.
So when I heard the shed door last night I assumed (yes I know the saying) it was my daughter, only to be caught painting the face by the minister!
Oh well, it is so close now, I may reveal it to her on Sunday.

Only a few more bits to finish off.
But at 2700mm tall, it is a true statement!

I did get a comment at xmas that kind of made me laugh... When a young lady with her kids were standing next to the nutcracker, looking in the window at all of the other bits and pieces, She says "wow that is a big nutcracker" inside is a 2 foot nutcracker.
I looked at her and said, "That's not a nutcracker... This is a nutcracker" and pointed next to her...
She had to take a step back and said that it was so big she didn't even notice it.
