Hi all,
Ive been apart of the woodwork of ACL since it started (some might say the white-ants to that woodwork)

But i Believe it's time for me to give back to the Great ACL Community.

So i designed a Cape that plugs onto the BBB called the 'PixelBone'.
here is some of the spec's
- 32 outputs @ 600pixels each (approx)
- Real Time Clock
The software that control's it :- The Falcon Player (currently alpha version)

Daryl also had one of these in his box of tricks showing it off at the mini's

So like any New Free design, here is the circuit diagram

Here is my example of a printed board

Please note:- This is my Mk2 version, that is being offered

I also have a couple of boards pre made going for $40 + Postage
an i have a couple of kits as well going for $30 + Postage.

(If there is enough interest i might get more boards/parts in stock but no plans to yet)
I only designed this board for my own show.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please note this board does not provide any power for the pixels,
If you wish to have a Professional Board with Power etc please see Dave at Falcon (dpitts)

Hello Alec,

How do the pixels connect to the board ? ie does the board have screw type connectors such as that off the J1sys P2 / Ray Wu 27ch controller
I have only closely seen a BBB with the Octoscrller cape, so I assume that this would be similar , but would be in the place of the Octoscroller ?

And WS2811 pixels would be supported ?

Yes thats correct, it would replace the Octoscroller cape
it has pin headers for the pixel outputs.. (no room for screw terminals)
an only WS2811 is supported

so you could have a BBB+Octoscroller and a BBB+PixelBone operating on the same network all controlled by the Falcon software
