Greetings,,,

Ok, US guy gotta ask.  How many of the Aussies, etc., have wire frame kangaroos.  Or are we just used to too many Crocodile Dundee movies?   ;D

G'Day Keith
I certaimly have my kangaroo and other Australiana wireframes. These came from Santas Workshop (before they changed hands). see pic.

There is at least 1 other wire frame supplier who does standards & specials. eg http://www.christmascreations.net.au/CARTgallery2.htm
Damien (of Christmas creations) did my firework stars and supplies LED lights and clips to match. (see signature 2009 video)

Greetings,,,

Last year's Florida mini was held at a wireframe shop.  I don't do many of them in my display, but enjoy watching them...

If you have a look at this (crappy) video. There is over 60 wire frames on the roofs.
Stafford Heights Baptist Church - Christmas Lights 2008 - Hallelujah Chorus

Light weight and easy to mount. Some hanging on wires, other attached to wooden frames to help hold them up. We got bulb paint to colour the leds to the colours we wanted.
Its that easy.
We got them all from santa's workshop up here in Brisbane. Got all the bits and put them all together. took about 4 weekends.

A very impressive display to say the least, how many channels used in that display. Great work I'm sure it was a massive hit with everyone.

I had some help from my daughter 4 years ago to make 6 kangaroos for the front yard of my previous house (shes the artist in the family). We based them upon a simple design most would know of (Q@#*^s). They are made from 6mm steel rod just bent into shape with 3 pronges on the bottom to hold into the ground. I origanally had rope light cable tied to the frames running 240 v cables in yard ( iknow ). But last year one of the rope lights failed. So this year in am going to individully cable tie 100 leds to each roo and will use one of brad jones strobes with red LEDS as the nose for the Roodolf roo. My intensions are to eventullay make an outling of an FJ holden with santa, but that will be in the future.

I don't have much to show off for last year so I'm just going to talk about my plans for this year.  I am starting completely over from scrath and am trying to do as much RGB as I can.

Here are the ideas and projects I am working on.  All input is always welcomed.

1.  RGB mini mega tree, but may use one of the 5 trees in my yard as the base and make a tree out of its trunk.
2.  RGB Holdmans bethlahem star
3.  Falling snow using RJ's smart strings, hanging from tree tops, straight verticle...similar snowflake lights but much longer.
4.  RGB presents, all different sizes, true life sizes, maybe coro
5.  Shooting stars.  Either strings shooting up to holdmans star or smaller stars in trees.
6.  RGB floods for entire front of house and trees.
