The add-on audio card uses different pins I believe. If you already have the card just tell FPP you have ws281x pixels attached and try to play a sequence with audio and see if the card works or not. Make sure you reboot after enabling the ws281x output so the onboard audio gets disabled.

i did'nt know enabling them outputs disabled the audio..
would that be the same case if using a usb audio device as well?

The ws281x output uses the Pi's PWM outputs and so does the onboard audio so the onboard audio is automatically disabled if you enable the ws281x outputs. The PWM outputs do not conflict with USB audio. I don't think they conflict with add-on cards such as the one linked but I have not tested this or know anyone who has tested so I may be wrong.

Thanks for input guys,

Shipping on those headers will push my time frame, but at least they are free shipping.

Me thinks they know they have a rare resource with that item. Oh well.

Will try tomorrow and see if audio board and WS281X output work together now that I have enough bits to that.
Needed header pins to crimp bigger cable onto. Hopefully also fixes problem with my B+ Pi that doesn't play seem to play nice with WS281X output.

Regards,
Rowan

Latest Update
----------------------
Since i changed board house, i found out this one is charging me more,
Im still trying to keep the price cheap as possible for this batch of boards but it will now be $0.50 extra,

Kits $4.50
built $5.50

Old board house panels $6 + $20parts (already have Stock)
-(thats 5 pixel-pi's an the 6th pixel-pi with a rtc header) but you must dremel the boards out yourself.
-(there is 3 smd parts per board on the panel, if you cant solder smd,
i can do it, but dont know if it will effect you dremeling the boards out as there under the board)

After this batch gets delivered to everyone,
there will only be the shop price of

Kits $5.50
built $7.50

Please Note the "Pixel-Pi with RTC Clock header" is only on the panel deal (RTC Clock not supplied)
(I have no plans as yet to stock them as yet due to board price)

AustPost Shipping for up to 5 kits or the panel deal is $3

For the built ones im worryed what price they might charge (max cost would be $10 for 500grams package)
but i will see if a cheaper deal can be got, when the time comes.

-= The Boards are currently in Production, and im expecting them by early next week =-

{kits will be sent out first, while i solder up the built ones for people}

Hey SmartAlec,

It seems I failed to respond ... I assume the 10 left quoted below are long gone.

If you do have any spare or get more made please let me know.

damien@computer-stuff.com.au is the most reliable email for me.

Thanks

Ahhh .... I just found your store ... Cheers

Unless people dont want them (as this was a interest thread)
I will be stocking them in the store tho (when i receive the boards an get these orders out first)
I did order extra for the shop, but something tells me they might go fast as well..
(but i have put your name down so i remember you have first dibs)

Hi Alec,

If you still have some after filling other orders, I'll take 2 fully built.

Haven't tried SMD soldering yet, and happy to leave it to someone who has done it before.

Regards,
Rowan
