Cordless Screwdriver....
« on: May 21, 2010, 07:04:59 PM »
A cordless screwdriver was the best thing i purchased last season, made life connecting up the hundreds of cables to the controllers so much easier.

Every channel equals TWO screws to turn.

The one i bought was a Ryobi Lithium screwdriver
http://www.ryobi.com.au/Products/Lithium-Ion/4-Volt/4V-LITHIUM-SCREW-DRIVER---in-GREEN.aspx

Interestingly i could do the connectors by hand with a large jewellers screwdriver just a little faster but at the expense of a sore hand.

A size 3-4 slot bit will fit most of the multiway connectors used snugly.

If you have a lot of channels that connect to screw terminals then i would highly recommend you invest in a cordless srewdriver.

Of course you can use it for other things during the rest of the year

Cheers
Phil

I bought one of these last year too Phil.  I can say it was definitely nice to have and one of my most use tools these days.  Much more controllable than my cordless drills which I sometimes use for the same purpose.

Definitely recommended.
