Hello all,

Just been shopping and my wife purchased a star from Kmart. The nice thing is that it is powder coated metal and already has holes for lights. And for a price of $15. I was thinking of getting some pixels and putting some coro over the top to see what happens.

Nice bargain......

Just a heads up if anyone is using these Kmart stars, I saw these today in my local Kmart on clearance at 1/2 price, just $6. Couldn't resist, I bought a bunch of them.
Has anyone fitted these with pixels, I'd love to see some pics of how they turned out.

I went to Kmart this morning and bought 5 for $18. I found 4 that had a globe broken on each so they gave them to me at half price so $3 each :)

Did you end up getting these into your display in the end? Do you have pictures or video?
Are they weatherproof as is or will they rust quickly?

Unfortunately I had the wrong nodes (5v) that I ordered. Hehe.
They went to good use though......

Never did get any 12v. Looking to order some for next Xmas. May have to get a few more. Goid price at the moment.

They seem powder coated so should survive as long as they don't lose any coating......
