E1.31 to DMX Needed (ECG-D2 dead)

Thanks, order received yesterday, then had it mounted, connected, channels reconfigured and all working in couple of hrs with minimal fuss. It just took a bit of trial and error to jag the right data rate for the TM180X interface of the ECG-P12R.

E1.31 to DMX Needed (ECG-D2 dead)

Too late, order already submitted for the 2811DC30 :) If half this stuff existing when I was kitting myself out originally 9-10 years ago, I wouldn't be in this situation.....the space as evovled so quickly. That being said, I'm trying to divorce and future proof myself from FPP.

E1.31 to DMX Needed (ECG-D2 dead)

Thanks, the 2811DC30 looks like the trick. I have an under utilised ECG-P12R that can provide the the 2811 data (although as TM1803). The fallback would be a USB->RS485 but eliminating DMX altogether would be preferable.

E1.31 to DMX Needed (ECG-D2 dead)

Hi All, Long time since I've been here and after a couple of years collecting dust I've just put my lights out. I run an ECG-D2 to a 27 channel controller for the old Big W 3 wire strings. The ECG-D2 was always a pain, locking up, not powering up properly....and now its just cactus (the...

    ECG-D2 Locking Up

Certainly not directed at you! Your help is very much appreciated. Just a bit annoyed emails sent to the states aren't answered. Previous years I noticed the micro was very hot to touch and was treated to a heat sink. I also tried fans with no success. I've got a few 40mm fans lying around...

    ECG-D2 Locking Up

*sighs* Thought with those changes I had gotten on top of it. But queue the hot weather and it doesn't want a bar of it. Looks like I'll have to wait until Sunday when it cools down in Adelaide (from the current low 40Cs) for this f**king thing to stop locking up. This will be the last...

    ECG-D2 Locking Up

Cheers. What throws me is that it's intermittent, but if it is a timing issue influenced by these parameters it could well do the trick. If only there were a manual describing what all these do!

    ECG-D2 Locking Up

Alas, another year, another massive headache getting this to work properly. Last year in approximately 33% of days running over a 2 hr period each day, the board would lock up. It would take multiple power cycles over 15 minutes for it to boot up correctly. ]Just trying to get things up and...

    Power supply - BigW lights

A bit of a thread mine, but thought this would be valuable for those wanting to power Big W strings cheaply from existing DC power supplies. I'm using a "150W DC-DC Boost Converter 10-32V to 12-35V 6A Step Up Voltage Charger Power". Search for the term on ebay, they're about $7. I...

    ECG-D2 Locking Up

So far last night it ran without issue and looks like tonight will be fault free. Same sequences etc, same setup (no keep-alive). I'm still confused, I would have thought if it were a keep-alive thing it would be fairly repeatable given what should be a fixed timeout?

    ECG-D2 Locking Up

Wassup, Each year I forget how much the ECD-D2 drives me nuts and only realise again when I get my gear up and running. The ECG-D2 keeps locking up, power and led is on and operation led flashes, however LEDs on the LAN port are off even though connected to the switch. Unplugging the LAN...

    CCTV Security

I have a foscam camera, the industry standard for cheap and nasty cctv cameras. PTZ wireless IP w/ IR LEDs for $100 can't be beaten, there are also H254 variants for a bit more. There are a few options; just run DC cable and run them wireless, or run POE injectors (you don't need $50 ones...

Oh, though I remember you talking about this in the chat once, perhaps it was someone else :)

This sounds exactly like what I'm developing point by point! :) Is it up and running?
