You can also try linking channels to a layer and create chases very easy with macros. Using just the color slider tool is very simple to create chases.
Hey Gil, Cover the shipping both ways and I would be happy to send you some samples of a couple minleon controllers as well as a couple light options. No need to buy, just sample and would appreciate the feedback if your interested.

Many custom LSP effects and some basic effects from the Minleon NEC. The Network effects controller has numerous effects built in and they are saleable to any size. One cool part is the effects can easily be triggered so you do not need to...
I actually spoke with him today and made a couple test sequences. Ramp up/down seemed to work fine but he was using old sequences and just having channels start on at 100% was an issue and did some crazy stuff.

I just got done with something tonight that makes that look like i sequenced it using my elbows.
The marquee tool needs some work but I have made some strides there as well this year w/o needing to create video or manually do it. Any suggestions out there how to improve? I wont import anything...
Almost only using LINKED macros (dont forget to check the box) and just using source and/source erase mixes. It depends what one is the source and what is the erase and also play with the order.
There is a link background image box you can click and play with as well. Link images, animations...
All the tools and it's just simple two or three layered macros that have been in lsp since v2.5 are all that are used to create this.

I'm going to try and get some time together and teach some classes again this year like I started last year and...
I have a pretty quick i7 but that sounds a bit long. Ensure all controllers are unclicked and nothing in the grid while generating effects. There is something really wrong somewhere in your setup as if that was consistent no one would be using LSP.
Before using LSP in Vixen I used to copy and paste patterns and do stuff like Invert, Reverse and use some of the paste settings that changed what was copied.
What software are you using?
