I was wondering at what level you should bring a power supply up to maximum? I have three elements I wanted to do off one controller but I'm afraid I might be putting too much stress on the power supply. The elements are 420 pixels total. They are 12v .72 watts .06 amps per pixel.
This is what mine looked like with the three pixels in them. If I had more time and had to do them again, I would have put 5 pixels in there.

I had similar problems with mine cdnbob.. I eventually gave up on using the LEDs in the stars.. I opened the Stars up and removed the LED module that was in there and glued 3 pixels in each.. Not as bright as the original module but have had no flickering issues..
As Viennaxmas said, I ran a heat gun and just put the plastic collar in front of it for about 5 seconds and everything went together like butter.. My Technicolors are still doing great even after getting 6" of rain this month with a noreaster.. I have them mounted horizontally and they are semi...
Well I had to redo the stars several times as I kept having data corruption for some reason. So I removed the guts of the stars and put 3 pixels in it. Not as bright but no data issues.. Looks better in person than in pictures or video..
Here is the star being redone
And here is the video...
Got 4 of these done.. Think I may have some loose wires in the stars.. They came wired weird from Ray so I cut the wires and put them back together with butt connectors but I guess I should go back and redo them..

Inspired by plasmadrive I am in the process of redoing my trees from a spiral to straight pixels like a mega tree.. Gives me more flexibility in sequencing.. I used the same wire frames and used a strip from 1/2" wire fencing and put them pixels in them to maintain spacing and stability. Got one...
I am not sure if this is the exact product but its something like this: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Newport-Coastal-12-in-Diameter-Acrylic-Replacement-Globe-7791-12W/100671507
Have you tried to copy and paste? Not sure if you have the same element between the two profiles? I guess in worse case you could try to export to vixen 2 and open it in the new profile.. I think you have to set up the mapping for the import..
I was wondering that if I had a single PSU feeding a string of 200 pixels and had to power inject at the end of the string from the same PSU, do I only need +V connected or should I also connect the GND?
So I decided that my mini-pixel trees were not the best for Halloween so instead of putting them away for a few weeks, I gave them a little dress up ;)
Plastic party table covers over some acrylic light covers from Home Depot and just put them over the current trees I have completed.. Now when...
