WS2811 - where to wire 12V, gnd and data?

ok so i brought a strip to test with,
i have a DMX36mk2 and DMX2-24 controller here to work with
Which one is best for WS2811

how do i wire them ?
from reading i have 12v directly to the Strip and ground, then the data and ground goto the controller ?

Neither of those two controllers will run ws2811 addressable LED's
What do you have running those two controllers, you should be sending them data/signals from something.

Ok now to find a pixel controller ? Any advise from the experts ?

Ok, that will not be enough to drive addressable led strings/strips. You will need something like a quinLED dig-uno, dig quad etc, or a Falcon, Kulp, HE123mk2 etc controller. The ones you have now are designed to drive "Dumb" lighting - which is lighting that doesn't have any addresses and it will be one colour the entire length of it's string.

Staying local so going to confirm with Andy , but will
Prob get a couple of the he123mk2
So I can have a mega tree , my roof edging and the other controllers can do the old dumb lights
