Burnt a triac out in my LOR CMB26D controller due to a direct short in a brand new plug and socket from Ray Wu
(I am not blaming him) I now have a test procedure in place to prevent this happening again (I hope)
LOR controller has 2 x fuses on the board that appear to be for inlet power.
I am wanting to protect my controllers from this happening again by installing fuses on the out put side of the RGB channels.
Can I place a single low amperage fuse in the + connection point of each RGB channels to protect the output side of the controller, or is there more to it
