I bought a roll of the smaller 25mm internal diameter air-seeder hose mentioned in these threads. First arch testing now. Not sure how they will hold up, may be better with the larger size. Pixels inside is 2.5 m 2811 strip. The "hotspots" show through, even though the back of the strip is resting against the inside arc. Still, I think it looks ok. One down, four to go ...

I cut off 2.6 metres of pipe (to allow a little for the support fittings), and then put a 1.2 metre brace to hold the arch shape. It just didn't look right with a longer brace, and a more semi-circular shape. PVC fittings are used, and hose clamps. The brace is pvc, with a little metal elbow that hooks inside the hose clamp.

Arches worked well for 2016. No issues with our 40 degree summer, and no sign of yellowing.

I work in the industry and i couldn't get any discount out of my boss, that aside, markup is roughly 50% on cost price,(approx $130 rrp for 30 metre roll of 32mm) glad i had 32mm and it easier to run pigtails thru, and mine worked a treat, no yellowing, comments from viewers was they look really nice /softer than strip zipped to pvc.

would be great, but can it be straightened? i tried with HDPE (slightly more dense than the air seeder tube) and it just melted when i tried to straighten it with a heat gun.

OK, I missed all the talk on this...
What is this pipe and where do you get it.
It looks great and I have spent more money on buying and testing failed hose and pipe over the last couple of years, I would love to get my hands in this.

Scamper, this stuff is great it is from a company called Esdan Plastics in Dandenong, VIC. Comes in two sizes, outer diameter of 38mm or 31mm, folks seem to have had good results with both. Best way to buy is through ebay as per Rudolf's link.
Check out my walkthrough video to see it in action https://youtu.be/nUg-CD4e7Fo (the bloke at the start waffles on a bit, lol! Skip to 18:40 for the piece on the arches)
