    I like the design too. The flexibility of being able to put covers on or not. The higher brightness. Just getting the bugs out is the problem. That is why I am now going to wait for about a year. If I can get a sample string, it will go through my quality test procedure.

    I cut them open with a hot knife. It is all injection molded plastic. If you look at the black on the pcb that is where the problem is. It should be clean. I have opened up some that have no problems at all.

    I measured 55ma per pixel about .67 watt. The regulator eats up the power. I injected power every 50 pixels or in the middle of 2-50 count strands.

    I had the c9 covers and still had moisture in them. Mine were hanging led down.

    Take some resistance readings on the data pad to gnd pad and see what values you have. Did the pixel just quit working as in no glowing. Was this just one bad unit? Mine was fine until the first rain and all kinds of problems occurred. They would start coming on when no signal was applied...
