I have 5000 ws2811 pixel modules connected in the same way as you have, I only use the P12R.... Things you can check; Make sure the UTP is 1:1 straight. Also play with the baudrate, I have 15mtr of UTP and a baudrate of 1800. Check the lights again without the extender and make sure they work...

maybe a version with RJ45 connectors is an option, the receiving side also uses RJ45..... greetings, robert

Can you connect with the UBL tool (ethernet or USB)? Had the same thing once when I loaded the wrong(p2) firmware in my P12r :-[ :-[ :-[ I was able to connect with the UBL tool and reflash with the correct firmware.... Greetings, Robert

AVG was not blocking outbound connections but it TOTALY messed up the config screens on my P12r and P2 last year.... (win7/64bit) Greetings, Robert
