Argh, why are all the circuit boards different! This is the last type, I swear :)

Thanks David, and thanks for all your help! We're in Marsden. Would love to come and check out your display this year :)

Two girls, a house and Christmas lights...

Animated sounds interesting... Not this year, for sure, but something I look in to early in the new year. We have a friendly rivalry with some neighbours across the street. Although their kids hate us - last year his son got up from the dinner table, walked outside and yelled "losers!" at us as...

    Removing MFC on Kmart LEDs

Could I just run solder down there or would it work better with the copper?

Two girls, a house and Christmas lights...

Hey all, So I had some help yesterday from a few awesome members and thought I should introduce myself! I live in the southern outskirts of Brisbane and have dabbled in lights for probably the last 8 years or so. Just a few here and there. Last year we did a pretty big display, and this year...

    Removing MFC on Kmart LEDs

Ok thanks. That's pretty much what I and the engineering teacher had in mind. Just to clarify and make it easier for both of us: Source side is the top, Q2? Run a solder bridge to the load side, next to Q1. That would be a line running from the two squares on the left of the FET. Check out the...

This is the other side. Same deal, the 240V is on the right hand side.

    Removing MFC on Kmart LEDs

Ok, here is the circuit board. I know the right hand side is the 240V side, and I know the points I need to modify are on the left - I just don't know which ones. I don't want to dim them, I just want the lights to remain steady on so I don't have to press buttons for an hour each night. Thanks...

    Removing MFC on Kmart LEDs

These are the MFC for the lights I have. And I have a lot of them... http://www.jutai.com/Upload/product/201182091652.6W%20IP20%20SPEC.doc.pdf
