Hello, I have looked and search but I am unable to find any information in regards to setting up your models in the yard and house.
Once you layout your design and sequence it in xlights what is the (how to's) to placeing your models in yard so when the show is ran it all blends in. Example you have a swirl effect layed out in xlight your models (Mega tree, Spiral trees, arches) have to be placed in a certain place in yard and on house or the effect will not look right.

And when you lay it out in xLights you draw it in as close to the final position as you can. A lot of us that have a 2D display use a picture of the house and place items where they will be put in the yard

You dont understand, you lay it out in xlights as you do in your yard. If your megatree is on the left of your house, thats where you draw it in xlights. When you put multiple items in a group they will act as one item for any effects you place on them. If you do a color bar up, it will look the same on the screen as it does in real life

Yes you lay out all your items within xlights as you do in the yard. This should happen well before you start sequencing

Just lay it out in the yard like you set it up in xlights.
If you want to get it exactly like it is in xlights, then if you are using xlights 2D (everything on the same depth), lay them out in a straight line, if you are using xlights 3d, lay them out like you have the layout in 3d model. :p
