I have been playing around in the background on working on a new design for ACL strobes. Like the last few versions they simply power up and start strobing as soon as the 5V is applied to the board. The latest version differs from older ones as it uses entirely surface mount design and components which means its faster and cheaper to build. There's 2 videos below which show a panel of 30 running. @benbrown /Felix from Scottled is currently trying to source a faceted cover that will suit these as they are designed to fit in a flat pixel body rather than a node.

Felix is currently looking at housing options that suit faceted pixels and thus the strobes. Currently the 2 choices are below. The black bodied ones are the dearer housing but suit a surface mount design. Still chasing pricing, options etc.

I am yet to come up with a solution that I'm happy with. I was talking to Felix a while back and a 12V version was considered. A 12V version would make it less critical for wiring. I kinda gave up on finding something as it was a constant battle and time is something I've struggled with.
