I was just reminded by @lithgowlights post that my family went out to visit some ACL displays that I had never seen before in person.
First stop was @tuppetsdad and lucky we went when we did, it was final night! Even caught up with Bruce outside who was taking video of the display. I like their mix of traditional leds and pixels.

Next was @gerry who is not too far away. Not many areas left to cover with lights! I liked the outlines, lots of long straight lines which are simple yet create an impact.

3rd stop was @abundy house, and the rest of the street had mostly decorated too which was good to see also. Seeing the matrix over the windows makes me want to make some for my columns next year. (Also, what the heck was santa doing to your window?!)

Our final stop was @caffeine on our big loop towards home. Again most of the street was lit up and has a convienent roundabout at the end of the street directing traffic. Only 1 of my kids saw it as they were very tired by the end of the night! The little greenery in the yard with all the controllers and switch lights flashing made me giggle! (noone else probably has any idea whats in there!)

We did plan to see one more at @daunce but as the kids were basically asleep, figured we'd see it another time.
I was glad I finally got out and saw displays that I never get to see, despite the fact it wasn't really that far away to see them. I recommend to everyone once thay have their displays up and running, if they can spare one night early in the month to visit others displays and see in person some of the work we all get to hear about on the site during the year. I'll def try to get to other displays next year again.

yeah after yours we went to Narre Warren, then to Carrum Downs to see Burnts display, thanks for the chat Christmas Evening Dj, I got a tonne of work to do in the next 10 months.....probably should prioritise it and start chipping away at it, spreading the cost over the 10 months rather than a huge lump sum, got a big wishlist, which I might tackle geographically....it's great to have coro supplier in Australia :) so I'll start with the Chinese shopping list

No worries @djgra79, I’m putting together the videos. Mine’s nothing compared to what you saw!

This year I went north, next year I’ll have to make multiple trips to see all the displays on this side of town.

Hey DJ.
Yes the mooning Santa is actually a bit of a hit, especially with the kids.
He basically alternates between pants up and pants down. I was pulled up by the hand brake of inserting a fart sound during the audio track when he is IMG_2819.JPGIMG_2820.JPG
