Hi, I'm Milton 55 in the US.

I'm here to learn and understand just what makes LEDs tick and how to make them tick for me on command.

Started a project with a two strip 5M SW2811 12V with 107E controller that worked fine out of the box. After splicing and extending the length of each run I started having problems with my LEDs. Now I can do white the full run but if I add effects I get disorder on a grand scale. Thinking power supply and maybe poor kills in
soldering.

Not going to read me asking questions much because I've know that most questions I have has been asked and answered somewhere in this form, I just have to find them.

With that I will say "yes I'm online", I'm here reading, clicking links, looking at videos and pondering my expendable cash. My be years before you get a post from me but I'm here involved none the less.

I look forward to gaining some experience in the world of LED.

Your problem sounds like you are running out of volts which tends to do bad things. Either your power supply is too small (approx 2.5A needed per string of 50 pixels) or you need to provide power injection as the far end of the string isn't getting enough volts to live on. Power injection is basically adding some extra copper wire of a heavier gauge external to the pixel string. The 5V or 12 needs to come from the same fused power source and it's generally tapped in at the joins between pixel strings and potentially also at the end of the final string.
