When pasting a model, the outline is not displayed

Greetings from the Gold Coast,

I am trying to resurrect my 2019 show, to save time and effort, before making any changes for this year's festive event.

I have downloaded and installed the latest version of xLights, but my models do not display on the house background.
When I try to post a new model, I do not get a model outline shown on the screen.
I can still select the model, and it displays the green and blue squares etc. ok, but If I deselect it, it just shows no model.

Is there a file (eg 'layout' file) missing from the previous year?

Have a quick check under 'appearance' to see if it was accidently set to 100 transparent and/or 0 in size.

No, I checked that (see pic)

I also changed the 'colour' tab to white, but that made no difference.

If you remove the background image, can you see arch then ?

No, it's just a blank area (black)

Try saving layout and restarting xlights

Tried that, still no joy.

It has to be something simple(?)
