I'm crossing everything that I will be OK for the mini next weekend. I'm currently in iso due to finally catching the spicy cough and am able to be out and about next Thursday, however should my kids catch it, I may need to stay home to look after them.
So as we're a Scouting family I'm trying to Be Prepared, and would like some assistance with organising collection of the prizes I have, in the event that I can't make it.
Speaking of prizes I will organise to send some down. I will also organise a free freight option to the Melb mini for anyone wanting anything.

I've been so busy lately (actually since about October) that I have completely lost track of when things are on. I could use some time away from moving my parents from farm to town so the chances of me getting down there are firming up.
Let me know if there is anything that you want brought down, to learn about, want me to talk about, want me to fault find or if you just miss me and want my company :D
Alan, your company would be ace - have corresponded with you for so long, and would be good to meet in person.

Another friendly reminder that the Melb Mini is just 3 short weeks away! If you're looking to come along and meet up like-minded blinky enthusiasts and soak up some knowledge or share your experiences, we'd love to see you.
Please let me know what topics you'd like to see covered or what you'd like to share/present. It doesn't have to be a proper fancy powerpoint presentation, just bring a prop or gear and show us what you did.
I'll put together a very rough running sheet for both days, but I want it to also be quite flexible and see where the conversations take us. I'll update the 2nd post above with a running list as I hear back from everyone.
Graham - we're just a few days out now. This will be my first mini and I have no idea how they work. Is there a plan, an agenda, anything I can do to help, any guidance on what would make most sense to bring to talk about.

I had the dreaded 'rona last week, and out of iso now and raring to go. I'm so excited!

While I'll be out of iso on Thursday, my kids are still sick so i'm playing each day as it comes to see if I can be at the mini both days this weekend. May not be able to make the start for setup but hopefully can make majority of the weekend.
So, in the event I can't make it at all Saturday (I'll make the call Friday) I will need a volunteer to collect some things from me on Friday to take with them on Sat, mainly the door prizes and some snacks/drinks. I was also going to organise Subway platters for lunches, so may need these picked up on the weekend.
I can also send in a USB with some of my presentations and if i'm not there someone can fumble their way through.
As for an agenda, no I hadn't put one together, aside from the current list of requested topics to cover in the 2nd post of this thread. Otherwise I think if everyone brings along something to either show off or get help with, the group as a whole will benefit from swapping intel and stories of what works well.
Many hands make light work so if anyone is planning to get in early to give @mikey a hand setting up chairs etc that would be greatly appreciated also.

I'm busy Friday night so can't help there, but happy to get in early to help setup and whatever needs doing. I can bring in some stuff to do a show and tell on soldering if people are interested. @mikey any smoke alarms to worry about?

Graham, if you don't get another offer, I can come down Friday - @abundy saw you'd offered as well. I'm in Box Hill, so depends who it's easier for. I'm also just out the other side of Covid so no infection risk if it's in your family!

I can also go Saturday early and help @mikey set up, and bring my laptop for presentations - I'm assuming there will be a projector there?

I'm out now sorry.
Still highly busy and with my daughters workplace currently going through an outbreak I am not sure I'll get through the next week without the bug. What actually pushed me over the limit entirely was the Falcon Player announcement that FPP6 will be a pay to use program and it will directly affect my sales and will also mean I will be fielding much more in the way of support questions. This has me questioning my future with making controllers :(
I hope you get a bit of a rush on for your controllers, as people buy them before the cut off times to get the free licence deal with them. :)

Although I do hope they come to their senses and drop this thing they're doing.

I'm last minute able to attend, but I notice registrations are now closed. Too late to jump in?
