So I'm finally upgrading to the WS2811 5v pixels (that have been sitting around for the last few years) and just trying to decide how to wire up and power all the strings.

So the blue lines will be bullet nodes. The top roof line is a total of 23.1m and almost 500 pixels
The purple star is a 174 node snowflake

I will be using a HE123 Mk23 Controller with HE123 RX receivers (1 of these will most likely control the roof)

Where should I place the controller and power?

Should I have the controller to either the left or Right (right preferred) or would it be better somewhere in the middle to shorten the PI runs?

I'd be mounting the controller as close to the 3 gable peaks on the right as you can get.
Output 1 - front gable 100px
Output 2 - right gable 170px
Output 3- star 174px
Output 4- right rear gable 220px
Output 5- left rear gable 120px
Output 6- far left 170px
Use either heavy duty extension cable (15A style from Bunnings etc) or 6 core 14/0.2 security cable from controller to start of pixel runs. I wouldn't be too surprised if you could get away with no power injection at all running at 100%. If you do need power injection then inject at about 100 pixels in. The 7.5A fuses should have no issues running all of those outputs at 100% brightness.

If I run this with 2x HE123-RX, I would have to run 2x data cables from the TX which will be in the main box in the front yard so would be a good 10-12m of cable. There would be no issue with running these cables side by side?

No issues over 10-12m. A few cm separation wouldn't hurt but I can't see any interference even if they weren't.
