I've finally got my board working :)
Way back in March on https://auschristmaslighting.com/threads/60-channel-dmx-board.1990/ I announced that I had a board under development and in my spare time in between I've been building and testing the board. It's been a labour of love as I wanted to build it but have struggled to put in the time.
The basic design features of the board are
-60 channel DC dmx dimmer
-4 zones of 15 with up to 30A per zone (maximum of 5A for any single output)
-dipswitch selection of start address
-test mode which cycles through all outputs singly and in groups
-4 zones with output voltage reducing capabilities. 5V, 12V, 24V and 32V. eg. 24V power supply can run 5V lights
Lots more info in the user manual and a bit more info on the wiki entry.

I have to give David Duffy (David_AVD) of Audio Visual Devices big thanks for helping me out with some of the pic code and supporting me as i pulled out some of my precious remaining hair.
I also need to thank David Duffy (David_AVD) of Audio Visual Devices for helping me out with setting up a wiki page for the AAHmega60.
Without the help and support from David i would have to say the serial data which is the bane of my existence had finally won. He also wrote me up a special release of his da_dmx test program so that I could test features.

I currently have about 10 of the boards that I did as a prototype run available for sale for $150 including GST. These do everything that the production boards do but there are some cosmetic differences where i had to do some mods due to design screw ups.
I also have a couple of the production boards here available for $250 including 10% GST. I'm expecting to have another shipment of boards in next week so I should have plenty of stock then.

Send me a PM or email if you're interested in 1 or more. Once I've got your details I'll send out an invoice that can be paid via direct deposit or paypal. At the moment I don't have a web page up at all and for the short term these boards are only available to ACL members.

I did test it with LSP with some help by Superman. It was done with 1 of DA's usb-dmx dongles as I don't own a DR4 or any other dmx producing device. It ran fine under LOR, LSP, Lights Up and da_dmx.

I have no set plan on how many I will build but I currently have a lot of the final production boards built. Because I have so many they will stay on the special price of AU$200 including GST till the end of January 2013. Any overseas purchases don't require GST to be paid so they will be AU$181.80. The last of the proto boards is spoken for.

Info on the board is on the wiki.

AAH, I'm thinking of getting ones of these off you, however, currently I run my light show using LOR S43 (Advanced), LOR USB dongle and 5 LOR controllers (4 2012 DC model and 1 of the Planet Christmas 240v controllers).

What do I have to do to integrate one of your controllers? I presume everything needs to be switched to dmx? or would it be easier to run an additional USB dongle for your controller outputting DMX and any other DMX controllers I may get?

Thanks :)

I myself found that its easier to run another dongle than switch everything to DMX :) I have one of DavidAVD's dongles, works perfectly :)

I am running LOR Version 3 as well and you can run DMX at the same time as well. I don't know what dongle AAH suggests, but I use the enttec pro and it works great.

Ok, do you have to set your LOR controllers to run on DMX, if so, how? :)

With Davids dongle you have the option of either LOR or DMX socket, so to run the M60 with Davids dongle you just have a standard Cat5 cable from DMX socket of of dongle to one of the sockets of the M60.

Another great thing about Davids dongle is that it is isolated, which I found out the hard way is quite important. I had a couple of LOR adapters, standard $30 ones. I accidentally plugged in 12v floodlight into 240v socket. Everything along the adapter line blew, rather costly mistake. Had it of been one of Davids dongle it likely would not have happened. LOR do have the isolated dongles as well.

I'm not sure you should be talking about David's dongle on this forum Shell...

"Another great thing about Davids dongle is that it is isolated, which I found out the hard way..." hmmm 8)
