Hello everybody,

I was just about to mount my new ECG-P12x into CG-1500 enclosure. Oops ….. it does not fit there together with my 5V power supply as my previous ECGP12p.
(You can get it there together, but it’s impossible to bridge the power switch or connect Ethernet cable)
My ECG-P12 history:
I bought another ECGP-12 form j1sys.com. (BTW I love their controllers). I got option to wait for a new coming version of it or get the current version. I was not in hurry for it so I decided to wait. It’s always better to get the new version. Right? But I am stuck now. :-\

Bottom line is:I just want to give everybody heads up that the new ECG-P2x is bigger then it’s ancestor.
I’ll contact Joshua 1 Systems and ask them about it. If the lower board would be 8 mm less wider it would fit there perfectly after turning it 90 degrees. What a pity! :-[
Now my options are:
1) to cut some extra sides from the lower board (there is some extra space). I am not really comfortable to do that since I can damage the controller very easily.
2) rise the power supply 1 inch above the surface. Damn! Another extra project.

Anyway I have to come up with some solution.

Does the lid of your CG-1500 have screw holes, mine do. I mounted a piece of Lexan in the lid and mounted the power supply to the Lexan. Works great.

Thanks guys.
All suggestions sounds good. I think I will be even able to plug the cable if I squeeze PWR supply and controller on sides and use my own CAT5 plug (without the bulky wrap).
