Help with my first Project

My name is Henrique.


I am from Brazil, Maringá Pr and a long time I have been worked with lighting for night clubs and musical Bands.

I make maintenance of equipments and some little projects of LED for this people.


Since last September when I saw a video of Crhistmas Lighting Show in You tube I stayed crazy with I saw.


So I decided get learn how it Christmas Lighting works.


I did downloading of Xlight 4 in my computer and then I started watch your video: XLights 4 Webinar series: Singing faces


I bought two models of controllers on China for start my study here are: E1.31 to DMX Interface 4 universe and WiFi Ws2811/2812 Contoller 7 universe.


I have some doubts and I would like know if is possible help me.


For example:


In my first test I did one unit " Boscoyo-Bulb" with 143 pixel Ws2811.


I put the song and I did the sequence how you show in a video, but I don't know what's happening when I play for test my sequence is having a delay of 4 seconds for start the LED On and when finished the music the sequence have this also delay. In attached


Can you help me with this ?


Also I would like to receive more information about how can I do step by step to put Moving Head with 16 channels dmx or LED Par Cannon with 8 channels in my project.


I would like much of receive your help because you show have very experience in this case Christmas Lighting.

Hey Henrique. Your English is very good. Much better than my Portuguese.

Do you see this delay when playing it on the screen or only on the lights. How exactly are you playing it to the lights? Using XLights or xschedule?

Have you run check sequence?

Thank you for your interest in helping me.


As I said before I did the sequence in Xlight using the video as an example and when I play to test only lights have delay the music is correct.


Until now I still not know to use the Xschedule.


I starting with this now, my first test is Boscoyo Bulb and then I want to add two Arcs, two Candy Cane and one Snowflake that I'm doing in this moment.


How can I to run the verification sequence, Please?

To run check sequence see the tools menu.

There is also an option there to package sequence. If you want you can do that as well and send it to me and I will take a look at it for you.

A few days ago I sent email asking to help and you replied to me and said for I that want help me.


I was having problem of delay when I did my first test using the Chinese LED Controller, but now already it correct works, I did my own controll with one universe and works very well.


I would like know if is possible to use the Matrix with 10 x 10 pixel connected in " Snake Lines Botton-Left mode" on the Xlight4 ?


In affirmative case, can you show me how can I to do or to indicated a video where I can see this ?


Today I did test of my Boscoyo Bulb and I liked very much that I saw.


Tomorrow I will go test my little Arc and my mini helicoid tree e then test my Matrix 10 x10.


Now I will go to do more boards of controll and put all together for I see how goes stay.

Yes you can snake the pixels. Set the string count to 1 and the strands per string to 10. The. Set the starting location based on where on your prop the string starts.

Did you set the string length to 100?

Is the preview okay?
If yes, then it is most likely controller configuration.
If no, go over the model config again and check that you set the parameters correctly.

How are you Today ?
Long time we don't have contact, I was doing my test with my control and my elements and now I am needing again your help.

I did some units of strings for I do a tree with 500 pixel ws2811.

How my control only have a universe, I did 4 board with 1 universe each for use with this tree.

I separated the board each one with your IP adress and now I put the effect for test, but the image is not normal.

My doubt now is: How can I to do the separation of pixel in each universe for can I see the image perfect.

I have to put the pixel in the universe 01 with 150 pixel adress 01 to 450 and start the other pixel in universe 02 and put more for do the sequence ?

Or how can I to do this, can you help me ?
