As adski said just leaving it outside was enough for it to start going straight so I don't think getting the stuff straight would be too difficult.

They did say they didn't have any 100m rolls if the 32/37mm stuff in stock at the moment and would be getting some soon, so I don't even know if they make the product there or if they import it from someone else, if they don't make it then I don't think they would supply straight pieces, but you can ask.

I have an issue with a couple of mine being twisted/warped. I made 12 @ 2.5m each, 25mm 2 way angled Junction boxs on each end and 2m 6.3mm galvanised rod cabletied to the junction boxs to keep the shape.

2 have a twisted/warped shape. I have tried laying them in the sun but our heat has gone. Do I hit it with a heat gun?

Hi All,
Has anyone in south east Qld purchased this hose locally? I see Enzed lists it in their product catalog so have contacted them in Toowoomba for price and availability. Asked if they would consider bulk buy discounts if anyone in the area is looking to purchase. Will provide an update once I hear back if there is any interest.

Regards,
Matt.

So got a response back from Enzed in Toowoomba and the can get 20m rolls for $140 (+ GST) ordered from Vic. They were willing to cut and sell at $7/m. Does this stack up against what others have ordered including shipping? Thinking it looks to be cheaper to order the $30m rolls online.

Regards,
Matt.

Just a quick update. I got a quote for freight from ESDAN PLASTICS eBay store and would be $108 on top of the $130. Looking to be cheaper to order locally from Enzed for anyone in my area. Only needing 10m to get me going.

I'll be wanting to order some pipe at some stage but only really want 10m. Anyone else in South East QLD want to go 3rds?

Hi Guys
I just recently joined ACL because I was looking for HDPE tubing, I have done some research of my own and found a company called
Eco Environmental they sell 25mm x 2mm wall HDPE in 50M rolls $195.
I have also called
HoseTek they quoted LDPE 25mm x 30M roll $144+GST and LDPE 32mm x 30M $153+GST
BLShipways they quoted LDPE 25mm x 30M roll $90+GST and LDPE 32mm x 30M $105+GST

I have some questions
What is the advantage of 32mm over 25mm?
What are the advantages/disadvantages of HDPE (high density polyethylene) versus LDPE (low density polyethylene)?

Regards

Wayne,

I have both LDPE and HDPE. The HDPE is definitely more rigid than the LDPE. But both retained their arch shape in the Aussie sun. HDPE is less translucent than LDPE, but not really noticeable.

You are welcome to pop around and have a look in person on the weekend, as you are fairly close to me.

32 mm is much easier to thread strip through and gives a more diffused effect over the 25mm (i have 32mm)
because the leds are further away from edges of the pipe (could be wrong but my gut tells me this - or i
am just trying to justify my roll of 32mm that i bought last year)
Cheers Boof63:D

Any ideas where to get this currently? Seems Esdan Plastics is out, and everyone else that seems to offer the same sort of plastic tubing doesn't seem to have it in stock either...

You will need to hunt around a little bit. It is "air seeder pipe" and as such very few farmers will be worried about seeding this time of year. Most will start getting it back in around late Feb to March.
I would go to your local agricultural supplier and ask. They may not have it but may point you to who does. Or just go to any hose / pipe distribution company in your area. I went to Hoseco in WA and they were most helpful quoted me about $82 (inc) per roll for 25 mm didn't have 32 mm in stock But they are a WA company.
head into a light industrial area, they tend to be in those areas rather than shopping precincts.
