I did a buffer PCB design a while back but never released it. Does that mean i should work out a price? What do the others sell for?

True. Alec does make Pixel Extenders which work pretty good, but are a lot more complex
yeah complex is not great in my mind I like simple these things will work apparently to about 100 feet about 30m which is great and you chuck them in and forget about them , they're also slimline I used a pigtail on each end and 13mm double wall heatshrink to cover the board and 8mm heatshrink each side , shrink the 13mm first then slide the 8mm over each end and it's self sealing no silicone required and nice and tidy

edit: I think they will work further if you're using cat 5 or better cable I am using 18awg normal wire

I think it cost me about $67 AU for 20 of them delivered from memory so $3.35 each but I would have no problem if they were a little dearer as they just work so well and there's no having to put them in xlights or the controller , completely invisible and you can put them anywhere start of the string . middle , 3/4 way through no problem, they work with any string/strip you don't have ones for 2811 and another for a different chip it doesn't matter what chips you're using

EDIT: obviously the more you buy the cheaper it gets works out a $2.40 each AU delivered for 40 of them
