I did not ask them but my brother did as he is doing the sequencing. I am heading to the airport to leave town for work but when I get back this weekend I plan to start a thread with details about each of the various bugs we are running into on the LSP Forums. From from looking in the LSP thread here. on the LSP forums and talking with other members here in chat and on DIYC it seems like there are lots of other folks having similar issues. These problems are with basic features primarily focused around the scheduler and sequencing with just standard Renard controllers. thanks

Well I figured out that the scheduler doesn't carry over the hardware config, even when it has been configured on the same PC and there is no prompt in the wizard about this lack of configuration. So, David Moore, meet my friend the hoop. At the moment it does seem to be playing in a loop now (it hangs when playing in a loop within the Sequencer).

Now, that said, the sequencer still has some issues, esp in tight timing where it just doesn't work and I hope that David can get that and a number of this issues worked out. I'd love to see a formalized system for reporting bugs from outside of the beta team so that more people can work to report issues so that LSP can be what I know it can be with just a bit more work.

Here is a sample of the sequence I got working:

Chicken,

If you would give the user name who posted the questions I will be happy to address any that have not been answered. As I am a moderator I really would like to see the issues that have been asked and not addressed.

DM,

The reason that the configurations are different is that most people run the scheduler on a different machine. When the scheduler runs if output has not been configured it DOES ask you to configure it, at least it does on my system.

It does not do this for the ECG but will prompt you for a com port on the LOR dongle and the dmx dongle. Its because its using a network output instead of a com port

On top of this support has been pretty poor. We have posted a few different questions with no answers back and it seems like others are having the same issues and no answers back for them also.

As a moderator this really surprises me if you can show me the posts on the LSP forum that have not been answered I will attempt to address each of them.

A very satisfied user

Hi all,

Rather than start another topic, I thought I'd hijack this one. I'm having some problems getting LSP going, which is probably related to my PC rather than LSP, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I've posted the below on the LSP support page today. It's driving me insane!

Hi all,
First time LSP user. I'm having trouble loading a media file on the very first setup window titled 'musical sequence configuration'.
Where it asks for the multimedia file name I click on the 3 little dots to open the window to search for the file. My problem is when I click on the dots, the computer thinks for a second, then nothing. It won't open the new window to locate the music file?
I'm running vista home, current updates, removed all firewall and anti virus. I'm at a loss.
It does the same thing when I click load under the display tab to change the photo of the house to mine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Many things will be resolved or vastly improved in 2.0 which should be out fairly soon. can you post the sequence you having problems with, or PM me on that?

Sorted my problem out. It was nothing a hard drive format couldn't fix. I suspect it was something to do with my firewall, but anyway. The sequencing begins......... When I figure out LSP........
