I’ve heard of people using clear vinyl shower curtain, white fabric shower curtains and even a white sheet.
What’s my best bet?
Can’t seem to find the proper material in stock or that will ship to Aus in time.
Thanks in advance

Try a drop sheet as well - might be a little more durable. Shower curtains will not like the heat or the UV - unless yo use lots of sun screen . They won't like the win either.
Another simple idea to stop the flapping in the wind, purchase some plywood construction sheets, paint them white and nail them up, or staple a bed sheet on them

Where in your display are you looking to project? I assume for virtual Santa its in a bedroom/front window? in which case durability and weather won't need to be considered if you stick it to the inside of the window for a rear projection setup (which is what I did for Halloween last year. Our Christmas tree block the window so I don't do VS.)
You may also need to consider removing the flyscreen panel too if you have one, to get a clearer picture. And if you do use rear projection (projector located inside the room) then you'll also need to consider reducing the amount of light behind it. IE if you can normally see through your front window through to your kitchen and the kitchen light is on, it may lessen the effect.

Yes it will be in a front bedroom window. The room is pretty dark already. Thank you for the tip on the flyscreen

The other thing to think about is including a layer of black see through material which helps take out the glow that can bleed across the white sheet from the projector and look like there is a white glowing halo around Santa. The black material removes that and helps make things look a little more realistic. I noticed a big difference in the projection with and without the black layer. Stole this picture from a website that suggested using the black layer.
