Yes Rickras85. I have come accross people who think 240 volt is high voltage and even argued the point
I was involved in the irrigation indusrty and found the ferrules to be quite handy, HOWEVER, as you pointed out, spring loaded terminals
as used in many irrigation controllers, were better suited to a well twisted multi strand wire. The bootlace ferrules tendedto get stuck in the push-in terminal and damage them when the bootlace was removed.
I also found the type of crimper made a difference as well.
I currently have two types of crimper. One like the four sided one that David reccommends and another type similar to the ratcheting one he shows for the QC Crimps, but it is designed for the bootlace. It cramps in more of a U shape and it does not crimp the smaller bootlace ferrule well - the 4 sided unit is way superior for them.

I couldn't agree more about crimping having to be done properly. I had a problem with a push on female blade Ferrule I was using between my pigtails and LOR CMB16 QC DC boards. I was wanting to use Blue and Red to diferentiate between positive and negative. I found the Blue to be too big as I pulled the wires out of most of them when I gave them a tug. They're still sitting in their container on my desk until I get around to putting everything in a cetral contol box and start using heavier wire from the boards aadn solder up to the pigtails.
