Hi all, I have a few Ray 27's where Im only using 20 of the 27 channels available.
im running LSP, E1.31 setup. The Rays are running through a D4.
I should need to account for those extra 7 channels in LSP right? otherwise im thinking it will through all my dip switch address I've set out.
So in the controller I drop into LSP, shall I assign it 27 channels but just use the 20 channels for the prop, so basically 7 channels will sit there unused?
unfortunately its impossible to use all 27 channels of the controller in my setup, they are on one side of the yard to the other. I think that will cause a wiring nightmare.
Am I on the right track.

RIGHT!!!!
So your saying for example set dip address
first ray @ 1-20 (20channels) - LSP Channel 1000 - 1020
2nd ray @ 21-40 (20 channels) - LSP channel 1021 - 1040
3rd ray @ 41-60 (20 channels) - LSP channel 1041 - 1060

so you basically ignore the other 7 channels unused with both the controller dip addresses and LSP?

You could do it that way.
You can have a gap between numbers as well so say have the first 27 channel controller strt at channel 1 thethe second controller can start at 30 and so on, You can leave out channels and you can also over lap channels on controllers if desired, the flexability is there
