Hi folks, just a quick shout out to all the Aussie members. We have a new bouncy song “Christmas in Australia” that as the title suggests, focuses on the unique aspects of the festive season down here. It incorporates a number of melodic and lyrical features that could make for an interesting sequenced light show. For example, a dynamic Southern Cross effect would look ideal with the chorus. A surfing Santa and a kangaroo-form lighting effect would also fit in well. In the verses, there is also a nod to the Australian lighting community and a subtle patriotic salute to the nation.

Because the song is so geographically and culturally specific, I think that someone like Ron from Xtreme Sequences would be unlikely to add it to his catalogue. He has to cater for a worldwide audience, so you can’t blame him for that.

Accordingly, it would be really appreciated if someone living here could create a sequence and then make it available to other Aussies. As there would be significant work involved, I could look at paying a fee for that service if required.

Links to the official lyric video and a free download of the song (WAV version) are attached.

Many thanks

Tony

I've created a lyric track for this if anyone is thinking of starting a sequence for it.

I did use Audacity to convert the audio file to mp3 before starting, but that shouldnt (?) cause any issues if you're using the .wav file. Happy to post the mp3 for sharing if the artist gives permission.
