Maybe a silly question but I am trying to copy a twinkle effect and paste it, that's not the issue but I would like it to paste the exact same effect and not just recalculate a new twinkle effect.

Can this be done, would be good if you can do this for other to or maybe a tick box to choose what you want to do.

    Thanks in advanced.

Are you asking in Vixen 2 or 3?

In Vixen 2 if you copy and paste a twinkle effect off the timeline you will get an exact copy.
In Vixen 3 I am not sure but I would not be surprised if you did get an exact copy.

I think you could create a group and put both sets of elements in the group and apply the twinkle effect one layer down.

It's for Vixen 3. I will play with it a little more and test what you suggest.

    Thanks

    Find Me On:
I have done the same in vixen 3 and it copies the effect as in type of effect and time of effect, but it randomizes the effect itself.

What Vixen 3 version are you using ?

I tried it, and the paste did copy all the parameters. I'm using 3.0.10

    Vixen 3.0.11

Looks like JPB was on the money. Put the effect to the group then edit the effect and change to synchronize all elements in the group.

Doesn't seem to copy the exact effect across different groups though as it will just randomize exact time you paste.
