I've written a simple Windows application to ping a list of IP addresses and show their status.

It's free and can be downloaded here on da-share. Just unzip the file to somewhere convenient and run it.

You can add and remove items from the list, as well as move them by dragging the leftmost column up/down.

Double click an existing IP address or name to edit it. There are options to set the scan interval, etc as well as open the currently selected item in a browser (assuming it supports a web interface).

hi David, i use angry ip scanner. http://angryip.org/download/#windows

it scans a range (like 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.0.255)
is there a way to set range to scan with your tool?

    thanks

This is a very nice addition to the troubleshooting toolbox.

For known IP addresses, this is great.

No, I made it to scan a preset list with "friendly names", not be a discovery tool.
