Daisy chaining led strips

Having issues where I am daisy chaining led strips. I've done about 5 daisy chains for my roof with small sections of alarm cable in between strips that are working well.

However I have another area of my display where I am using a 5 metre strip cut in half, and then I have about 6 metres of alarm cable between. The second strip after the alarm cable fails to work properly, showing only the first 3 leds on. Do I need to add power injection to the second strip?

They are 2811 strips, 30 per metre. 12 volt.

6 metres between the strip is probably outside what the data can reach, you will probably need a null Pixel or one of @AAH null pixels to get clean data through.

Thanks for your replies guys. The 6 metre cable I made can power another prop I have that uses bullets instead of strips and that has around 100 of them. I'm thinking the null pixel route my be the way to go.
