I'm new to this seemingly addictive hobby. Gonna have lots of questions. I started with one window, one ws2812b strip and one esp8266 with WLED. I can see this is gonna get expensive.

It can get expensive but can be done a lot cheaper if you shop around and grab good stuff at the right price. The ACL101 is definitely the place to start working from.
