Hello, I had to change our Telstra model yesterday and subsequently the WiFi settings and the router IP addresses are different.

Now for the life of me, I cannot connect to my FPP Pi3 to change the WiFi settings and gateway IP address. I have my Pi powered up, connected via LAN cable to my router. I tried fpp\ in the web browser as well as the IP address but nothing. I can see the Pi in the Telstra router web interface, but it shows the IP address in IPv6, not IPv4.

I tried to route add my FPP IP to my new gateway IP address but no luck either. Apart from re-imaging my SD card and starting again I am lost......

Pi3 Static IP is: 192.168.13.100
Old Telstra Router IP: 10.0.0.138
New Telstra IP: 192.168.0.1

Thanks

There's a number of IP compatability issues with those IP's. To get between the 192.168.13.x and 192.168.0.x IP ranges you'll need to have a netmask of 255.255.0.0 not the more common 255.255.255.0. That may be all that is required to get connection to the Pi. No idea how you would have connected between 10.0.0.138 and 192.168.13.100 on your old router.
It's possible that if you use xlights and the fpp connect it will sniff out FPP for you and that will give you something to work from.

Edit. The FPP image burns as a 2 part image with 1 part being FAT32 which you can read. That part contains the network setup details so you could put the SD card in your computer and change the IP address to something that you can access.

Hi Alan,
Thanks for your feedback, I think my problem was the subnet mask as you pointed out. I ended up formatting my SD card, reimaged and set up with new IP addresses and all works perfectly now. Thanks
