So, I'm not doing house xmas lights (yet), I'm actually using this technology for a traveling stage show of sorts. I have done some work with relatively dumb DMX lighting in the past, but this is a whole new world. FastEddy's 101 guide is one of the best resources I found, so I figured this was the place to be.

Welcome to ACL, im glad you have found the 101 manual to be helpful. Remember there are no dumb questions here, because we all started this hobby with minimal knowledge
