Hi all.
Has anyone converted old 240v incan motifs to pixel nodes? I have a few such as the below, wanted to know if converting to pixels look any good or would I be wasting my time?

Would love to see pics (day or night) of your results.
Cheers

I changed 3 wire frames to pixels this year and the results were fantastic. The wire frames are the bells, large star and angel in this video. https://vimeo.com/148137061

The pixels I used are these ones with a 65mm custom spacing (no extra cost) and the cable tied at 50mm centres. If I asked for 50mm spacing from Ray the wire between them would have been so short it would become very fiddly to join or splice in power injection. The longer wire also lets me adjust the spacing a bit so that the pixels fit in an area better. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/50pcs-DC5V-input-WS2811-LED-pixel-light-with-all-BLACK-wire-IP68-rated-epoxy-resin-filled/1821855394.html

I drove them with the elnino Arduino solution (1 per wire frame) and had zero issues http://auschristmaslighting.com/forums/index.php/topic,6528.0.html

And a daylight picture of the bells. The controller is in the beige box above the bells and the silver box low down on the right bell is a 24volt to 5 volt converter. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261225355138?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I can feed 24 volts to the element to minimise voltage drop and then drop it to 5v where it is needed.

This has made me re- look at some of my old unused motifs in a new light ( pardon the pun). Yours do look great. Looks like I have a new project for 2016, thanks.
I watched your video link - nice sequencing also by the way.
