LED Net lights (new to light shows)

Can you get a net light to be animated? If so which ones? I am looking at these ones.

I am pretty sure at light show some one had them animated but some people don't think its possible.

You can turn those ones on/off and dim them, that's about it. You won't be able to change colours or do patterns on them, they are not addressable.
