Firstly thanks to @DavidJ247, @djgra79, @mccar (and anyone I have forgotten.) for all your input and help with the arches. Mix of ideas and constructive criticism/advice….. :):):):p:laugh:

I will attach a spreadsheet with the breakdown of the cost but - *spoiler alert* - each arch cost me $29.62 to make.

So this is my breakdown for making 6 arches with 2811 10 pixel strip.

I have put links to where I got the parts from below.

Things to note - The 32mm conduit covers off for 14cm feet and 5cm connector to connect LDPE hose to inspection tee. The reason for the 14cm is to use one x 4mt conduit. If I was to put longer feet on I would just purchase another 4mt conduit as the 5cm 32mm conduit coupling are 0.95c each and needing 12 would be $11.40 – So cheaper to purchase 4mt at $7.64.

The PVC Pipe clips are slightly large but they are just to hold arch distance. I can always add some layers of electrical tape if I want to have them hold firm.

The 10mm tube I cut to length and whilst holding firm in vice marked the top each end to make sure I got them straight. I just used a bench vice to squash the ends flat making sure I had enough flat to hold between the PVC pipe clip with galvanised nut and bolt. Drilled a hole in each end for the bolt to fit through.

The 5cm pieces fit well into the inspection tee and also the LDPE hose.

Add the 14cm legs and wait for my lights to be ordered and arrive.

I think adding holes for tent pegs to be used will be the go as well. My arches will be all side by side so I will see how to secure to the ground.

Nice work CD. I'm going to wait until Nov when I start install to determine if I need the metal brace for mine. In the meantime my hose with strip inside them is up in the roof out of the way waiting for their time to shine!

Just want to say thank you for posting this. It took long enough to get the LDPE hose and I have just built 2 of the 6 arches tonight.

Your tutorial was a massive help Mine don't light up all the way as I used 3 metres of hose and 2.5 metres of light strip. I also fit the ESPixelstick in the hose itself. Works a treat.

Thanks again for posting this as it would have cost me a lot more testing things to make it work otherwise.
