Pixel Mounting Depth

Hi,
New to the hobby and starting to put together my project for next year. I'm currently looking to bend up some custom top hat to mount my pixels under my eaves and match my colorbond fascia.
I know the pixels need a 12mm hole to mount through, but approximately how deep does it need to be - I'm guessing roughly 30mm as the 25mm conduit mount looks to only just stick out the other side. I'd like to get a start on mocking up some trial pieces before my Pixels arrive.

Thanks
Scott

The case is 30mm in depth. From the back to the holding ridges is 25mm.
They are around 12mm diameter, some vary with how well they are manufactured.

To add a bit to what Mark posted (and using his graphic), without knowing how recessed you plan making the pixels, only the LED itself really needs to be exposed; the part from about 28 to 35 mm. So a mounting hole could be counterbored if necessary letting only the LED peek out. As to manufacturing quality, I've found expoxy drips to be rather common. Sometimes the Coro Slot around 22/23 mm to be mostly filled.
