I am looking at getting the Sandevices diy kit.
it seems to be pretty straight forward in assembly and operation.
Has anyone had any recent experience or issues with it.
Thanks

I have assembled many without issue. They work great and have served me well. Make sure you install the 5.030 firmware when the time comes. May have to check doityourselfchristmas.com to get the link for it.

I have multiple Sandevice controllers. Very straight forward to assemble as long as you follow the instructions. I was a bit silly and just started assembling it and missed installing some of the sockets on the board for some components, not an issue just means it is more difficult to swap those components out if there are any issues.

I would suggest reading through all of the steps on how to assemble before assembling and then start to assemble them. The only downside to these controllers is they are limited in the number of lights you can control with them compared to a Falcon controller and the firmware updates for newer light types might take a while before they are supplied, otherwise I am very happy with mine.
