I have been asked about how to share images at a birthday party. An ACL member is heading to a 40th party in a few weeks and asked me about attendees being able to send images to an iPad and have them put up on a projector at the party. I have no idea about iPads, projectors, bluetooth, clouds or anything else that he could use. If anyone has any tips then could they share the info.

Thanks in advance

What John wants is for people to be able to share images from their phones when they turn up. Something like "If you have a pic of you and birthday boy then do ****** to share it"

I have never did exactly what your looking for. I have used Google photos and shared a specific album with family members who could see or update that specific folder. in our example we shared a vacation and everyone could update all there vacation photos for everyone to share. I think you just can give update access based on email invite so you share the link and have people update that album and as you run slideshow of that album. This would be how I would try to do it. I think everyone that,s wants to share would have to be using Google photos. This would be how I would try to start with it seems like on the surface this might be the easiest way. Good luck.

If they know they want photos now for a few week's time, surely they can send out a request via social media to collate them and package together PRIOR to the party??

One option would be to find an image slide show application that will work with some online storage source, e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox etc.

If they're somewhat inclined, they could pretty easily create an online app using Firebase (as an example) that would allow people to upload photos, and then a slideshow could be created that pulls from that pool of images that is being updated
