Tune to sign ideas

: Anyone have. Inexpensive tune to sign idas? I have a heap of old led lights that I could possibly use if that’s a option

I made this just from Tint tube. Masked and cut out the numbers/letters then painted the outside.
Just has pixels fed inside attached to coro, nice and cheap

You could punch holes in Coro (similar to the HC ones http://www.holidaycoro.com/Radio-Frequency-Signs-s/2013.htm )

Define "cheap"
A painted or printed sign with some LEDs around it would probably be the cheapest, or even solar lights but may not be bright enough to compete with your main show. But if you want it to be controlled then there are a few different options.
I've seen some made of coro like the signing faces to look like a digital clock with 12v modules in each section that can be sequenced or run off a stand alone.
There's also Panels to consider. David sells a tune-to controller if you have a spare P10 panel or 2 handy: https://www.da-share.com/sku/APC961/ This is what I have just running all night in a window, then I sequence the frequency onto my panel matrix during my show and mention in my voiceovers.

If you mean mounting the pixels into the steal, I ended up doing it all by "hand", it was a killer

Tint tube is the centre of a roll of tint.

Tint tube is a plastic tube that window tint is wound upon.
You should be able to grab a tint tube or 3 from your local window tinting guys.
Most just end up tossing them out.

This is our tune to sign.We bought some stickers, stuck them on the coro, sprayed black paint over it. Framed it up and voila!

built a quick one last night playing around was really happy with the outcome.
1 piece of old coro, 300 holes drilled and a short test sequence. i think i will buy matrix strip next year, but this should do the job fro now.
