Upload Steps Question to FPP

Hello... I have a question.

I have a FPP player where my sequences are stored, and using xlights. My question is: what steps or sequence of steps should I do to upload my sequences to my FPP. i know how to upload my sequences to FPP but before I upload them do I have to batch render, upload my inputs, upload my outputs????? I just wanted to know if I am missing anything prior to uploading to my FPP.
