WS2814 is an 8-bit LED Driver IC for RGBW Pixels from WorldSemi. The IC is separate from the LED package. A dedicated white LED allows for higher brightness. It may have data backup in order to pass on the data signal past a dead/defective pixel. - see below for more details.
With only three wires, there is no data backup.
